Who we are

What we collect

Only what you type into the booking form and choose to send. That is:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Which artist you'd like, if you picked one
• The budget range you selected
• Three preferred dates
• What you wrote in the description of the piece
• Up to five reference images, if you attached any

There is no account to create, nothing to log into, and no other form on the site. If you never send a request, we collect nothing about you at all beyond the server logs described below.

What we do with it

We use it to answer your request: to work out which artist suits the piece, to find a date that works, and to reply to you. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't use it for advertising.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who else handles it

The site is hosted by Netlify, which also receives and stores booking requests before passing them to our inbox. Requests are emailed to a Gmail address, so Google processes them too. Both companies handle the data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.

Two other things happen automatically that are worth naming:

• Server logs. Like any website, our host records standard request information — including your IP address, browser, and the pages you asked for — to keep the site running and secure.
• Google Fonts. The typefaces on this site load from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. We don't control that and we get nothing back from it.

Links out to Instagram and Google Maps take you to those companies' sites, which have their own privacy policies. Following one of our links doesn't send them anything about you that visiting them directly wouldn't.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no session tracking, and nothing stored in your browser between visits. That isn't a technicality — we checked.

Your reference images

Images you attach are resized inside your own browser before anything is sent, so the original full-size file never leaves your device. What we receive is a smaller copy, used only to understand the piece you want. We don't publish anyone's reference images.

Photographs of finished tattoos shown on this site are our own work, posted with the client's agreement.

How long we keep it

We keep a booking request for as long as we need it to handle the enquiry and any work that follows from it, then delete it. If you'd rather we delete yours sooner, just ask.

Your choices

Email thextattoos@gmail.com and you can ask us to:

• Tell you what we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete it

We'll need enough detail to find your request — usually the email address you sent it from. If you're a California resident, state law gives you rights along these lines, including the right not to be treated differently for exercising them. We don't sell personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of on that front.

Age

Our work is for adults and this site isn't directed at children. Please don't send us a booking request if you're under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us. No website can promise perfect security, so please don't send anything through the form that you wouldn't want stored in an email inbox — we never need payment details or ID numbers to book you in.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Any significant change will be reflected here before it takes effect.
